Angela Rayner has visited a local company that is one of the industry leaders of the future.

SAICA Natur welcomed Angela to its Audenshaw plant, where she was given a tour of the innovative site and met with Johan Sundblad, country manager.

Mrs Rayner was able to see SAICA’s innovative recycling system first-hand, with the facility transforming customers’ waste into re-usable raw materials such as paper, plastics and metal.

The Shadow Education Secretary then had the chance to discuss issues affecting the industry and the continued investment of SAICA into the local economy.

Natur is the recycling arm of the SAICA Group. Recyclable waste is collected and treated at Natur and then re- used to create award winning packaging solutions for some of the biggest household names.

in addition to the Natur facility at Audenshaw, the company also has a Paper plant in Carrington and a Pack centre in Wigan.

Angela Rayner said: “It’s great to see a local firm doing so well in one of the industries of the future – recycling waste into new materials and doing their bit to help our environment.”

Johan Sundblad, Country Manager, SAICA Natur UK, said:“It is always great for us to show people what we do here at SAICA Natur.

“It was a pleasure to welcome Angela Rayner MP to our Audenshaw site which is a key cog in SAICA’s Closed Loop system and a vital part of our continued investment in the UK where we are committed to improving the eco-efficiency of our customers and in turn the local area.”
