Angela was delighted to meet the recently elected president of Sierra Leone, Julius Maada Bio, who was sworn in at the beginning of June following elections in May.

The meeting was part of a fact finding trip to the Sierra Leone Parliament which is made up of 146 members and led by Speaker Abass Bundu.

During the trip, Angela spoke to officials on the challenges of being a newly elected MP and empowering female voices in Parliament.

She also took part in a round table discussion on Women in Politics before visiting a health project at a family planning centre just outside Freetown.
