Angela Rayner MP Representing the communities of Ashton-under-Lyne, Droylsden and Failsworth.
Angela met with Paula McGann, who’s home was hit by a speeding car, to discuss safety measures to prevent further incidents.
Paula was in the living room at her home in St Albans Avenue with her two young children when a car crashed into the front wall causing terrible devastation.
Luckily, nobody was hurt but the incident left the house inhabitable so Paula and her family are currently staying with relatives.
Angela met with Paula and local Councillor Mike Glover to discuss ways to prevent future incidents.
Bollards have been installed outside Paula’s home and further measures, such as CCTV and a reduced speed limit, are also being considered.
Paula said: “I cannot thank you enough for ensuring that the bollards were put up outside my home and it has helped to reduce my fear of a car crashing into my home in the future. I am so grateful.”
