Angela Rayner MP Representing the communities of Ashton-under-Lyne, Droylsden and Failsworth.
Every year, Angela invites local primary schools to take part in a competition to design her official Christmas card. This year, she received almost 800 entries from 13 schools. Picking a winner and two runners up was a hard task!
The top prize went to Abigail Dempsey from St Stephen’s RC Primary in Droylsden thanks to her winning design of Santa delivering presents on the Metrolink.
The first runner up was Asiya Ilyas from Holy Trinity C of E Primary in Ashton-under-Lyne. She also depicted Father Christmas on the tram but her design showed him heading to IKEA in the town centre.
Dylan Martin, from South Failsworth Community Primary, was third place with his picture of a festive dog enjoying a walk at Daisy Nook.
