The Right Honourable Angela Rayner MP Representing Ashton-under-Lyne (including Audenshaw, Droylsden and Dukinfield)

It was a pleasure to visit AC Electrical in Dukinfield to find out more about the family run business.
The company, which was founded in 1997 by Adrian Knowles, now employs 40 people and has 25 local apprentices on its books.
I am proud to have such an ambitious and pioneering business within my constituency.

My thoughts are with everyone who was affected by the awful fire in Dagenham.
The stories I heard from residents were harrowing and I am incredibly grateful to our emergency services for their immense bravery.
My priority is getting urgent answers for them, convening regulators and other key players to get buildings remediated as soon as possible.

In Edinburgh, I met the Scottish Whisky Association to discuss how whisky is a crucial export and growth sector for Scotland and I also visited the Social Bite Village—an innovative project that is helping homelessness in Edinburgh.

We’re taking action to build more social and affordable housing and help end homelessness for good so I visited Pembrokeshire Action for the Homeless where I sat in on a numeracy workshop which helps users to improve and develop their skills for the job market.
