I was delighted to visit Our Lady of Mount Carmel RC Primary to join the FA’s Biggest Ever Football Session.
The nationwide initiative – to mark International Women’s Day – saw thousands of girls across the country lace up their boots and enjoy learning more about the beautiful game.
I was honoured to be able to present the school with the FA’s Equal Access Award to recognise the commitment of pupils and staff to make football a sport for all.

I love a good Q&A session and school visits are always my favourite bit of the job.
Thank you to the Mayor and his team of prefects at Rosehill Methodist Primary Academy for giving me a tour before they grilled me on a range of topics.

I am always heartened by the wonderful community spirit throughout my constituency.
I visited the team at Ashton Community Fridge which is run from Ashton Central Mosque to find out more about how they are supporting those in need.
I was delighted to be able to donate boxes of rice which were given to me by the Prime Minister of Pakistan.
I look forward to supporting the team as they expand their service.

Little Giggles Nursery in Ashton were recently rated Outstanding by Ofsted which is a fitting testament to the hard work and dedication of all the staff.
I was delighted to be asked to officially open their new sensory room. It’s a wonderful facility for children with SEND.
