Angela was delighted to take part in a Q&A at Laurus Ryecroft Academy as well as announcing the results of the school council elections.
With just one vote in it, the atmosphere was tense as Ayaan Naveed was named as the new President.
Angela then opened up the floor to take questions from the assembled sixth formers. These ranged from her thoughts on why it is important to be politically active to how she stays connected with her constituency as well as the students’ thoughts on improvements to the town centre and the NHS.
Angela said: “School visits are the best bit of the job and I was so impressed with the range of issues covered by the students. Their interest and awareness for current affairs gives me great hope for the future.”
