Angela visited Cat’s Wardrobe in Ashton to see how the team are supporting care-experienced young people in the constituency.
Cat’s Wardrobe originated when a young person, supported by the TMBC Tameside Futures NEET support team, couldn’t attend a walk and talk session due to not having a coat and the need for access to clothing was realised by the team, who worked with apprentice Cat Blackhurst to develop the idea.
Following Cat’s death, the Wardrobe was named in her memory as she was an integral part in creating the offer.
Angela said: “Cat’s Wardrobe is a fabulous facility that allows care-experienced young people to access the clothing they need. It was great to meet the team and find out more about this incredible service. It’s a very fitting tribute to Cat’s memory.”
